Welcome and thank you for visiting my website. I am proud to represent the New Democratic Party of Canada in Burlington. It is becoming increasingly clear to many Canadians that the world is changing. Sadly it is becoming even more clear that our politicians are not keeping pace with this change.
For the past thirty years Canada has pursued a neo liberal agenda of tax cuts for corporations and the wealthy, free trade, relaxed environmental standards and diminished worker and citizen rights. The problems with this agenda are starting to show and effect people in significant ways. For most Canadians incomes are stagnant. The environment is changing rapidly before our eyes and global trade is costing Canadian’s jobs and threatening the safety and security of the products sold in our borders. Human rights that Canadians have for so long taken for granted are being systematically rescinded in the name security.
Many Canadians are joining voices from around the world calling for a new way of doing business and a new way of doing politics. If you are one of the many people looking for a balanced economy, fair trade, environmental sustainability and enhanced human security through expanded human rights then I hope to earn your support in taking your voice to our nations capital.
